FRED PA-1 Trainer CONFIGURATION
Configure your FRED PA-1 Trainer easily with the device’s SD card. The configuration is saved in a .XML file that must be placed in the “Resources” folder at the root of the FRED PA-1 Trainer’s SD card. To access it, simply remove the battery cover and recover the SD card.
Configurable parameters of the FRED PA-1 Trainer
Type of device
Semi-automatic: If recommended, the device will tell the rescuer to press the button to deliver a shock
Fully automatic: If recommended, the device will deliver a shock without any action from the rescuer
The type of patient
Adult or Child
(Depending on the type of patient and the resuscitation phase configuration, different messages can be delivered by the device)
Resuscitation protocol
Set the length of voice messages delivered by the device
Detailed instructions: for a general public training
Short instructions: for more regular and advanced training (volunteer firefighter, lifeguard etc.)
Language
Set the startup language of the device
Scenarios
Scenario 1: After each analysis, the device always recommends a shock.
Scenario 2: After each analysis, the device never recommends a shock.
Scenario 3: After the first analysis, the device will recommend a shock and after 2 seconds will no longer recommend shock.
CPR phase duration
1, 2 or 3 minutes
Metronome frequency
100, 110 or 120 bpm
Message delivered at the beginning of the CPR phase
Checked box: the message requires an alternation heart massage and 2 breaths
Box not checked: the message asks to perform a cardiac massage following the metronome
Message delivered at the beginning of the CPR phase if the patient is a child
15 heart compressions and 2 ventilations
30 heart compressions and 2 ventilations
